Erich Sorger

Beverly Hills | 16

2007 Award Recipient

When Erich Sorger spotted good furniture on the side of the road, he saw money in the trash. His program collected $17,000 worth of unwanted items from students leaving the UCLA campus for the summer, preventing waste, promoting reuse, and supporting the National Council of Jewish Women's programs to assist women, children, and families in need.

Recycling for NCJW

Inspired to combat needless waste, Erich collected UCLA students' clothes, electronics, furniture, books, and office supplies to donate to National Council of Jewish Women’s thrift stores to help fund programs to assist women, children, and families in need.
