Eric was motivated to help youth in the developing world based on their pressing needs, and to help privileged teens in other countries see themselves as actors empowered to support this effort. To accomplish this Eric helped found branches of Free the Children, a Canadian grassroots group, in London and the United States. Eric’s volunteer efforts included raising funds for the group to support its work teaching children to be socially conscious global citizens and agents of change.
