Recognizing that she was descended from generations of people who have fled their homes in fear of persecution, Sienna was inspired to find ways to help refugees in her community. Seeing that there were few opportunities for young people to volunteer to support refugees, Sienna created The Refugee Empowerment Project to provide refugees with the resources they need to prosper while simultaneously making a space for teens to serve.
