"I feel that, to succeed, all kids need those opportunities but many cannot afford them . . . I realized that I had a skill which I could use to help those kids."
Through his four-day video game creation camp, Jake Galant is helping underprivileged youth learn marketable technology skills for their futures. With Jake's team of 10 teen volunteer teachers, Tera Byte Outreach has taught about 120 kids in Dallas and China basic computer science and programming concepts and, in the process, is making a high-tech career an accessible goal.
