"Each student wrote an essay on what they saw and learned and it was amazing to think how much their eyes had been opened and how much this experience affected them."

High School Holocaust Curriculum

The High School Holocaust Curriculum helped expand students understanding of the holocaust in particular, and their sensitivity and openness towards students different from themselves in general. The project created experiential learning opportunities for teens to explore the lessons of the Holocaust, and to extrapolate from that to how society and they themselves relate to individuals and groups that seem different or foreign. The program’s initial success led to its adoption as part of the local middle school curriculum.
